MyFitnessPal:
MyFitnessPal is a great app with the functionality to help maintain your health goals. It’s a free app that you can download for Apple or Andriod. What makes this app unique, is the free calorie counter with over 5 million foods in their database. Essentially, it is a food journal that can be kept with you at all times. MyFitnessPal makes it super easy to log your meals quickly and the more you do it, the more it remembers your habits. It is a fast and easy tool to document your food intake. On top of all that, you can add in your workouts, whether it’s walking on the treadmill, running, biking, etc. MyFitnessPal will calculate how many calories you’ve burned from certain exercises. Some of the most successful weight loss programs suggest keeping a food diary and activity log to help stay on track. MyFitnessPal is the perfect app to add into your everyday lifestyle.

Nike+ Training Club:
If you’re one to need some extra motivation and a pre planned workout, the Nike+ Training Club app is the right one for you. It’s like a portable personal trainer that lives right in your pocket. The Nike+ Training Club app compiles a variety of workouts depending on the area you want to exercise. Whether it’s wanting to get lean, work on abs, legs, arms, cardio, even yoga! The app will select individual workouts from a library of fitness routines. If there’s one you don’t like or can’t seem to get the hang of, no worries, just swap it out for something else. This app is available for Apple iPhones 4 and up, also for Android. This app will take your fitness level, beginner, intermediate or advance and tailor workouts just for you depending on how many days a week you workout. This app is great because it also provides tips from your favorite athletes and pros, for extra motivation. Fooducate:
Looking for an app that incorporates healthy recipes, product scanning capabilities and suggestions for alternative healthier foods? Look no further. Fooducate is the app for you! This app seems to have it all. Designed to allow the user to quickly reference and compare foods.
You can search or scan a barcodes to find out more information on the foods you purchase at the store. This app will then give suggestions on better options, fewer GMO ingredients, or products with more whole grains for example. The free app offers foods from the Standard American Diet, but for a small fee you can upgrade to the version with gluten free and food allergy filters. If you’re looking to be more aware of the contents in the food you’re eating, Fooducate provides a large amount of information and user reviews that assist with just that. Another cool feature is the daily tips section that offers nutrition and food facts. The main purpose of Fooducate is to give all different types of foods a letter grade. These grades are based on facts and information by dietitians to then help you make better choices on the foods you purchase. Sure, you may know that consuming too much sugar is bad for you, but what about ingredients like high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors? Fooducate is an app that doesn’t focus so much on weight loss, but rather helping you choose more nutritious foods for your body.

Moms into Fitness App:
This is for all of you pre and post-natal ladies out there, have you tried the Moms into Fitness app? If you haven’t we highly suggest that you do. This app features video workouts that you can download straight to your phone, or stream through the app. The app includes a weight-loss calculator, food diary and progress tracker to help keep you driven, pre and post baby.
